A well-rested worker is a safer worker in the field, thus The Studios offer only full or king-sized beds in a quiet, secure environment. 

Amenities include:  daily housekeeping, weekly linen service, on-site laundry facilities, keyless building and room entry, DirecTV, Wi-Fi, a fully equipped exercise facility, and private training/conference rooms. The gated grounds are protected by 24-hour security with management and maintenance staff on the premises at all times.

The Two Bedroom Suites are 770 sq. ft., with 2 full size beds in each bedroom, a kitchenette, full-size refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, dining area, and a large comfortable living room.  The One Bedroom Suites are 322 sq. ft., with a kitchenette and a spacious, private bedroom featuring a king size bed and a desk.  All the Suites are equipped with flat screen TVs in the living areas and bedrooms.

Eagle Ford School Districts Prep to Send Money to the State

School districts in the South Texas Eagle Ford Shale region are preparing to send millions back to the state in coming years. Eight local districts were added to the Texas Education Agency's list of property-wealthy districts.

The reason is skyrocketing property values. In the past two years, property values in the Carrizo Springs district have increased from $441 to $2.5 billion. Cotulla ISD has seen a similar rise.

This year Cotulla will pay in a little less than $1 million, but next year the payment could swell to as much as $15 million. The wealth is welcomed, but it comes with a host of other obstacles. Several of the disstricts employees are living in trailers on site because of an Eagle Ford Housing shortage.

Texas Builders Are Moving to Rural Eagle Ford Areas

Texas builders are moving from San Antonio and Houston into more rural areas of South Texas where the housing market is much stronger. Major home developments have been built in La Vernia, Floresville, and another is on the way in Kenedy. With the 10,000 plus direct jobs and many more indirect jobs that have been created to date, there will likely be a housing boom for many years in rural areas like Carrizo Springs and Floresville. 

Now more developers and builders from San Antonio and beyond are moving into the sparsely populated Eagle Ford Shale counties to build everything from housing to pipe yards to warehouses.

Pleasanton native Garrett Ruple moved back home from Houston about two years ago when he realized how much work was available in the Eagle Ford Shale. “All of my friends from college are now in Houston, and everybody and their dog was trying to figure out a way to do projects in South Texas,” he said. “I was watching from afar.”

Small Business Development Center Opens in Carrizo Springs

The Rural Business Program, part of the UTSA Small Business Development Center, is scheduled to open a SBDC Information Center in Carrizo Springs. The new center will office with the Middle Rio Grande Development Workforce Solutions offices at 307 West Nopal St. The center will reinforce efforts to help communities become sustainable during the ongoing oil and gas extraction projects in the Eagle Ford Shale region. An open house commemorating the SBDC Information Center opening will be 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 17. The public is invited to attend the special ceremony and listen to presentations on small business opportunities within the Eagle Ford Shale area. 

The Eagle Ford Shale provides more than 12,000 workers with full-time jobs. Communities are welcoming the growth brought by the activity that includes challenges associated with the dramatic economic upturn.

"The Eagle Ford Shale oil and gas play will bring economic prosperity to the region and for the state," said Gil Gonzalez, director of the SBDC Rural Business Program at The University of Texas at San Antonio.
