Aqueous Services opened its freshwater load out facility with the mission of providing water and water management services to oil and gas companies operating in the Eagle Ford.
The Aqueous facility is unique to the region, specifically designed for maximum efficiency and ease of use.

he Aqueous Services’ load out facility is fully expandable, and was built to facilitate a frac fluid recycling program. Aqueous is focused on promoting environmental sustainability within the industry, and can work with companies to help design a water management program that minimizes the amount of water used in the drilling and hydraulic fracturing process. This is imperative to an area in South Texas that is already facing one of the worst droughts in the State’s history.

Only a certain percentage of the hydraulic fracturing fluids immediately return to the surface in what is known as flowback water. A viable recycling operation will have to supplement the recycled water with other water sources, such as the water source currently provided by Aqueous, to sustain a continuous hydraulic fracturing program. A recycling facility can reduce fresh water consumption by up to 40% per well. When you’re talking about millions of gallons of water used to complete each well, it’s clear that recycling can make a drastic impact in the reduction of water consumption.”
