Stallion’s new Kenedy office opened earlier in the summer and includes an 80 person man camp. The 50-acre super-yard is one of several locations the company has in South Texas servicing the Eagle Ford Shale. Stallion now has locations in Carrizo Springs, Tilden, Victoria, and Alice. The company has expanded quickly over the past few years to answer the call for various oilfield service needs in the area.

Operators look to Stallion to provide not only a comprehensive set of wellsite and production services but also deliver well-trained and safety conscious service technicians. The new facility is also home to an 80-man camp used to provide onsite accommodations for the Company’s service personnel. [Read more…]

Halliburton San Antonio Office to be a Bexar County Supersite

Halliburton’s San Antonio office will be here soon and it will be big news for Bexar County. The quote of the article is “supersite”. Halliburton has over 2,100 employees in South Texas. That’s a good indication of how many people could be directed from the San Antonio office. That number will likely grow with drilling and production in the Eagle Ford.

The site for the proposed Halliburton office has yet to be determined, but the company owns 150 acres at the northeast corner of Loop 1604 and Interstate 37 in southeast Bexar County, TX.

You can bet the office will bring several hundred jobs and possibly 1,000+ to the San Antonio area. Baker Hughes’s San Antonio operations center was announced a little over a month ago and it is expected to bring 400 jobs to the area. Weatherford’s Bexar County office is just across the street from where Halliburton owns land and on top of that, Schlumberger’s South Texas office will likely be announced in the coming months.

I’d bet the greatest number of jobs will be sourced from Halliburton’s office. Just being conservative, those four companies will easily add 1,000 full time jobs to the area. There are already lots of openings and this will add to the booming energy job market in South Texas. If you’re looking for a career in energy, search Eagle Ford Shale Jobs Here. [Read more…]

Schlumberger Planning San Antonio Office Too

Schlumberger’s San Antonio office will likely come not long after Halliburton’s office is announced. The company’s Eagle Ford Shale office will not rival the size of Halliburton’s, but Schlumberger has a major presence the surrounding areas. Still good news for San Antonio. [Read more…]

San Antonio Commercial Real Estate Gets Eagle Ford Boost

The San Antonio commercial real estate market is already doing better than last year and one of the influencing factors is the increase in oil & gas industry activity from the Eagle Ford Shale. Chesapeake Energy opened an office recently and Baker Hughes plans a 400 person office southeast of the city. Those are two of the largest deals, but many more will follow as service companies and producers move closer to manage their South Texas Eagle Ford operations.

The Eagle Ford rig count in the 30 county area we watch was 227 rigs as of last Friday, August 19. As operators continue delineating their acreage, there’s no indication that will change dramatically in the near future. [Read more…]

Baker Hughes San Antonio Office Coming

Baker Hughes unveiled plans to build a $30 million facility in Southeast Bexar County, near San Antonio.  The building will be Baker Hughes’ Eagle Ford Shale and South Texas Headquarters. The office will ad as many as 400 Eagle Ford jobs to the area. The Eagle Ford Shale has created a job boom in San Antonio, as well as much of South Texas. As development expands, the number of job openings looks like it has only one way to go. [Read more…]

Weatherford San Antonio Office Planned

Weatherford International’s San Antonio office will be located in southeast Bexar County at the northwest quadrant of Loop 1604 and Interstate 37. This is likely the first of many announcements to come as the Eagle Ford Shale play booms in surrounding counties. San Antonio is the only metro area in South Texas that affords the amenities that many people will want when moving to South Texas.  Weatherford’s office will also include a yard for hydraulic fracturing equipment and other oilfield service tools.

Corporate offices mean more Eagle Ford Shale Jobs in San Antonio. [Read more…]
