Crimson’s latest Woodbine well came online at an impressive rate of production.

The Nevill-Mosley #1H came online at 1,164 boe/d or 1,021 b/d of oil and 77 b/d of NGLs, and 392 mcfd. The well was drilled 15,192 ft, including a 6,041 ft lateral, and was completed with a 22-stage fracture completion. [Read more…]

Crimson Exploration and Contango Oil announced the companies will merge at the end of April. The new Contango Oil gains exposure to the Eagle Ford in several counties across South Texas.

The combined company will have the option to develop or explore Eagle Ford acreage in Dimmit, Karnes, Liberty, Madison, and Zavala counties. [Read more…]

Crimson Exploration Announces Karnes County Well – Spuds Dimmit Well

Crimson Exploration completed a nice Karnes County well, finished drilling a second well and is spudding wells in Karnes and Dimmit counties.  The recently completed well came online producing over 1,000 boe/d at a 14/64ths choke with over 3,000 psi of pressure.

Crimson’s current plan is to drill in Karnes County through the first quarter of 2012. The Eagle Ford is a major contributor to the company’s plan to produce 50% liquids by the middle of 2012. [Read more…]

Crimson Exploration – U.S. Energy Eagle Ford Drilling Successes

Crimson Exploration announced drilling success in both Karnes and Zavala Counties. The company’s Karnes County well came online at more than 1,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day and was completed through a 4,200 ft horizontal lateral with 15 frac stages. Future well test that are planned will have longer laterals and additional frack stages.

The company also completed a well in Zavala County where U.S. Energy Corporation is a partner. The well initially had issues with too much water production, but the companies were able to plug the water producing portion of the well and bring it back to production at more than 400 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
