WE HAVE AROUND 40 ACRES IN NORTHWEST LASALLE COUNTY. WE HAVE BEEN RECEIVING LETTERS AND PHONE CALLS FROM VARIOUS COMPANY’S ABOUT PURCHASING OUR MINERAL RIGHTS. CHESAPEAK HAS DRILLED A VERTICAL WELL AND MOVING INTO THE HORIZONTAL PORTION OF DRILLING BUT WE ARE STILL GETTING PHONE CALLS WITH THE DOLLAR AMOUNT GOING UP EACH TIME. DO THE COMPANY’S NOT TALK TO EACH OTHER ABOUT THE DRILLING?

  2. i just purchased 2070 acres in Dimnit county with minerals. 6 miles west of Carrizo Springs any thing going on there??

2009, LEWIS PETRO WAS HIRED BY CHESAPEAKE TO DRILL FIVE OIL,GAS WELLS FOR
EXPLORATION AND TESTING IN THE EAGLEFORD SHALE IN THE MAVERICK
COUNTY.TXCO HAD OR WAS GOING BROKE,2009, ESPECIALLY AFTER TXCO”S OIL
REFINERY BURN IN SAN ANTONIO,TEXAS. TXCO HAD LEASE OR BOUGHT 80,00
ACRES IN MAVERICK BASIN. 2010,SOME HOW ROD LEWIS OF LEWIS PETRO BOUGHT
THE 80,000 ACRES FROM TXCO AND 2010 WENT TO CHESAPEAK FOR MONEY AND
STARTED ALL THE FIRST OIL AND GAS DRILLING. THIS WAS THE START OF THE
EAGLE FORD SHALE BIRTH. 2009,THE FIRST DRILLING COMPANY THAT STRUCK OIL WAS
E.O.G. RESOURCES OUT OF LAREDO,TEXAS. PETRO HAWK ONLY HIT GAS AND WENT
BROKE AND HAD TO SELL. SWEET STORY AND STILL GOING STRONG. THE BIGH OIL
AND GAS COMPANIES NEVER DID START UNTIL 2011, A LITTLE LATE BUT THEY ARE
HERE IN COTULLA, LA SALLE, COUNTY,TEXAS AND NOW DRILLING FOR OIL AND
    CONDENSATE.

      Hello Lonnie Gomez,

I have acres in Zapata County. Are there any gas companies looking to lease at this time?

      Thank You——J Garcia

      Mr. Garcia,

You’re out of the Eagle Ford fairway and in a gas prone area. I suggest visiting MineralRightsForum.com to find other landowners near you. You’ll get good insight there.

    • mchesney says:

question is regarding the down dip dry gas potential below Karnes County and others
SouthEast county properties?……..we own Minerals West /NW of Pettus about 2 miles …..we are 11-12 miles South/ SW of Kennedy……obvioulsy the deeper down dip dry gas is NOT on anyone’s radar currently ……or in the near term. I understand that the big Reefs cut off the liquids and this down dip acerage is simply completely out right now……..are there any articles or papers discussing the potential of this prospective deep dry gas when prices may support the effort and risk? what are Geologists and others speculating about this future deep part of the EFS … .thanks in advance for your own speculation …….M Chesney

ps please put me on your email alert list if it exists

    • R.T. Dukes RT Dukes says:

Most people I’ve discussed the gas window with believe it will take $5 gas over a sustainable time period before we see oil & gas companies go back to exploring for natural gas.
